From a professional background in the Tourism industry, I have now worked in academia for the last 20 years or so! I live, love and breathe travel. I have a personal and professional interest in the positive reciprocal consequences that can come from travel if it is practised and managed responsibly. I don't take life too seriously and enjoy nothing more than quality time with my boy, friends and family. August is a cheeky little man with a fantastic curiosity for all the amazing things life has to offer and both myself and his father (now separated but very much an equal and significant part of his life) want to do everything we can to nourish that! 

This blog is for you if, like me, you had a passion for travel before having children, and you want to now share that joy with your small family. This blog is for you if, like me, you are trying to make a little go a long way. This blog is for you, if, like me, you travel to broaden your horizons and enrich your understanding of the world around you. This blog is for you if you believe that travel forms a powerful source of our education. This blog is for you if you area aware of the positive and negative consequences Tourism can bring and choose to tread carefully and authentically, making responsible travel choices as you go. This blog is for you if the journey is just as precious as the destination.

A word of caution though. I write honestly. I sometimes use bad language, I may be a little crude sometimes. I may be direct. But these are just my opinions, and they are not necessarily right. We all like different things and this is an account of what I like, it may not be for you, and your preferences may not be for me. I mean no one any offence. I'm here to inform and share (based only upon my opinion and experiences) and hopefully entertain (just a little).
